Danish Blue Cheese Review
May 12th, '06

Let's be frank - After trying Gorgonzola, Stilton, and Roquefort, trying some Danish Blue (Danablu) is going to be a let down. in my (perhaps not so) humble opinion, Danish Blue is a blue cheese for folks who don't like blue cheese.

Not that it's bad or anything, it just fails to impress. Not as tangy. Not as moldy. Not as earthy. Not as creamy. The cat woulkdn't eat it either. And since he gobbled up the Gorgonzola and Stilton I'd say that makes him the most refined cheese cat anywhere.

I used it in a yummy salad dressing.

Country: Denmark
Milk: Cow milk
Texture: Soft and crumbly

Jon Rating: A good blue cheese for folks who don't like the fancy stuff
