Stilton Cheese Review
May 1st, '06

We're in blue cheese heaven over here at casa Sullivan. After trying the absolutely delicious Roquefort I opened up the Stilton. More yumminess.

Stilton has the same depth as the Roquefort but with a more tangy flavor in place of the earthiness. And it's more crumbly. In addition, for those like my wife who prefer to not eat cheese with patches of furry mold staring at them, the Stilton has more conservative green veins.

The cat liked it. Which I found rather surprising. But it does follow the trend - The cat prefers all of the strong cheeses that my wife won't try.

And speaking of cheeses the cat likes, I just realized yesterday that this could be another niche for this website. A bit of Googling has confirmed my suspicion that there are *no* websites dedicated to the cheese eating habits of cats. Do cats like all cheese? Do cats have individual tastes in cheese? Do they always prefer stinky cheeses?

I may need to look into renting several cats so we can do some blind taste testing for a more serious cats and cheese study.

You can experiment with my two cats. >^..^< *giggle*

I feel sorry for whoever has to clean out the cat's litterbox after all that cheese.

Miss Yeti, our felis domesticus, would certainly be a good taste-tester. If she turns it down, it's BAD! Of course she gacks up damned near everything she eats. Hairballs are the beginning for a long-haired cat that licks shoes, my briefcase, walls, floors, cabinets...
